Matt Damon is a household name, and an Academy Award winning screenwriter. Yet for the most part, Matt has been able to keep his name out of the tabloids and live a fairly normal life, at least for a celebrity.
Some of his friends, however, are not so lucky. Hollywoods elite may be able to afford virtually anything they want, but what they cant buy is privacy. The Good Will Hunting star told German television TELE 5 (via Today.com), “I have friends who are like prisoners. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie for instance. They cant just go someplace. If they go for a walk, it turns into an international incident.”
The actor credits living in a city “as cool” as New York City for his ability to live amongst the “regular” folks. He goes on to tell TELE 5 that he is very family-oriented, and his wife and children are the most important things in his life. Adorable, but not very tabloid-worthy.
