It is rare for a 16-year-old girl to find a husband that her parents would approve of at such a young age, let alone a soulmate, but Courtney Stodden claims to have found just that in her relationship with her 51-year-old husband, Doug Hutchison. Reportedly, her parents were happy to welcome Doug into their Christian family and even gave their legal permission for the couple to wed.
After the story became a sensation, with many people claiming that Doug was a cradle-robber, the couple is clearing up a few rumors:
“I was a virgin,” Courtney said. “I knew that if I kept that, I would be blessed with a beautiful gift. And God did! He blessed me with my soulmate.”
