Todays balmy breezes and blue skies would have made for lovely wedding weatherwhich got me thinking about summer brides!

I loved being a summer bridebut I definitely had to look a little harder to find a dress that didnt feature 5,205 layers of fabric or a 14-foot-long train. I wanted my wedding dress to be easy, breezy and not too fussy.

If youre getting married on a sunny summer day and want something equally as unfussy, the three wedding dresses belowall from the Spring 2012 runwaysall fit the bill! (Theyre also great if youre getting married in another season and dont want a dress that weighs more than you do!)

Many brides Ive met would like to wear heels on their wedding day …

But theyre not necessarily a great option for brides who are getting married outside. In my experience, heels plus an outdoor venue often equal a big ol mess. (Picture heels on a sandy beach or a grassy field. Yikes!)

The solution?

Wedges, of course!

That said, many wedges have chunky rope-y or wooden bottoms, which just dont work well with a wedding dress.

But I found three pairs with streamlined bottoms that would all be lovely for a bride.

Even if youre not getting married outdoors, wedgeswhich are MUCH easier on your feet than regular heelsare a great option.

The three pictures below show blush pink wedgesso pretty!but all three pairs are available in multiple colors.

Drew Barrymore has donned a wedding ring twice in her life, but don’t ask the girl to wear one on a film set. The gorgeous 35-year-old recently admitted that she has no interest in playing a bride-to-be on camera. “I swear to God, with some of these romantic comedies, these women are being shot in the butt with steroids, and I feel like they’ll eat the husband alive on their wedding day,” she told the London Evening Standard.Drew is unofficially known as the Queen of the rom-com genre, yet her films mostly deal with women in a relationships as opposed to being aisle-bound.
