One of our favorite bridal designers, Temperley London, is unveiling nine brand new styles to their made-to-order bridal collection today, and weve got a peek at all the fashion goodness! With a vintage, grecian, romantic flair, Temperleys wedding dresses are always beauties. And as gorgeous as they look in these photos, dont miss seeing them in person! Each time Ive been lucky enough to get up-close and personal with Temperley London designs (like during Bridal Market in NYC last October), Ive been simply breathless at their incredible feel and quality. Lucky for our London area readers, there is a special bridal event at the London boutique next Wednesday, June 29th (RSVP here!) and there will be one coming up at the Los Angeles boutique in July.

When Caylee Anthony disappeared in 2008, I followed the news coverage with a sick heart. I hugged my then-6-year-old daughter a little tighter and whispered multiple prayers of thanksgiving for her safety. Caylees story made me imagine what it would be like to have a child disappear, and those thoughts terrified me on a level I didnt know existed.

As it became clear that Caylee probably wouldnt come home safely, the nation learned more about her mother, Casey. A young, single mom with an irresponsible streak, it was obvious that she wasnt ready to be a parent. And as I held my own child, it wasnt only Caylees story that scared me, it was Caseys. Just as Caylee brought to mind my daughter, Casey reminded me of myself when she was first born. Poll: Would You Date Someone Accused Of Murder?

When I was 21 and in a relationship that I knew wasnt going anywhere, I found out I was pregnant. I was in college and waiting tables in the evenings. I worked and studied hard and partied even harder.

Dr. Neil Clark Warren, clinical psychologist and founder of the online dating site eHarmony, posted some interesting advice for lovers on Huffington Post today in an article, On Second Thought, Dont Get Married: “More than 2 million couples will get married in the United States this year alone. Several hundred thousand of these couples should reconsider, postpone their weddings or not get married,” he says.

He points to research and statistics that weve all heard before: Too many marriages end badly, and in recent years, more and more couples are choosing not to get married at all, which is all leading more and more of us to believe that marriage is obsolete. But he draws a different conclusion: Marriage is still important, he says, but we just dont know what were doing.

Warren points to a second set of statistics that shows 70% of adults under 30 still want to get married someday as proof that its part of human nature to seek out a lifelong partner.

Lots of you like the idea of groomsgirls and bridesmen …

But how bout flower men?

Id never actually heard of flower menthe grown-up male alternative to the flower girlbut a recent New York Times article found three couples who opted to have a guy friend throw petals down the aisle rather than the traditional little girl in a pint-size bridal gown.

If the bride and groom dont know any little girls, if they just want to give a special guy friend a non-groomsman role in the weddingor even if they just want to get a laugh out of the crowd!Im fine with flower men.

As someone in the article pointed out: You can play with the traditional mold, but in the end, youve had a wedding. Whether you do it on the back of a motorcycle or underwater, its the same thing.

I dont think redefining the standard jobs undermines the ritual, and I like when brides and grooms add a little personality to their big day, rather than just doing exactly what every bride and groom before them has done.

Are flower men an I DO or an I DONT?

If you’re a true do-it-yourself gal and don’t already own one, the miter saw may be just what you need to help you complete countless wedding projects like these:

  • Make an easy ceremony structure to support vines or flowers — all it takes are pine planks (cut to size with a miter saw), a hammer, and some nails. After the wedding, use the structure as an arbor in your garden.
  • Construct painted wooden signs or plaques pointing the way to your ceremony site or reception.
  • Build simple wooden planters to house flowers in your wedding’s color palette.

Don’t be afraid of the hardware store and good equipment. Just make sure you use it properly and wear eye protection!

Here, my dad with his miter saw.

Were very excited to introduce our newest WeddingAce, Kate Harrison. She will be contributing all of her eco-friendly wedding advice so all of us can be more environmentally conscious in our wedding planning. WA: What is the name of your business?

Kate: Green Bride Guide

WA: How many years have you been involved in the wedding industry?

Kate: About four years. I planned my own green wedding in 2007 and wrote the best selling green wedding book The Green Bride Guide: How to Plan an Earth-Friendly Wedding on Any Budget shortly after.

In 2009, I founded to help couples use their weddings to promote social and environmental change and  support the local green economy.

WA: Why did you decide to go into the Wedding Industry?

Kate: When my husband, Barry, and I began planning our wedding in 2006, we were surprised by how difficult it was to find the eco-friendly resources we were looking for. A
