Barely getting through fashion school, Tiel went straight to the Paris with her best friend and classmate Mia Fonssagrives, daughter of the model Lisa Fonssagrives and stepdaughter of photographer Irving Penn.

The book takes you through the girls’ relationship ups and downs, including affairs with married men, travels all throughout Europe, working on set with some Hollywood heavyweights, as well as their rise to ‘It’ status after befriending Elizabeth Taylor and husband Richard Burton, who would later fund the opening of their first boutique on rue Bonaparte in the fashion capital. What happens when one set of identical twins marries another? Its officially called a quaternary marriage, and it results in lots of fun family photos!

Identical twin sisters Diane and Darlene Nettemeier met identical twin brothers Craig and Mark Sanders ten years ago. The sets of twins fell in love, went on a double date to Las Vegas, and won thousands of dollars at poker. Celebrating their lucky streak, they got engaged on the same day, married in a double ceremony, and built a pair of homes side by side. The couples now have 5 children between them, and despite a million-to-one odds, Diane and Craig even had identical twin boys! Ginna and Gaylen Glasscock started dating Erich and Nicholas Schmidt during their freshman year at ACU. Both knew they were with the right twin, because Gaylen says that she and Nicholas are more goal-oriented and outspoken while Ginna and Erich are laid back. Full Post…

When ballet flats first started to resurface in a big way about eight years ago, I was instantly taken with the look and comfort of the style. I had worn them a lot in the 80s and was only too pleased to see them return back to mainstream fashion. I realized a good while later that I was in the minority liking this style of shoe. Most of my clients find them uncomfortable, preferring flat sandals, clogs, mary janes and loafers, or heeled footwear. So it wont surprise me if there are lots of nay-sayers with the newer pointy toed style. 

If you dont like to wear heels, but want to create a longer leg line with footwear, pointy toed flats are the way to go. The elongating effect is super effective with a low contrasting colour of footwear. 

I see pointy toed flats working especially well with tapered trousers and skinnies, leggings, and both pencil and flared midi skirts or dresses. I think of Audrey Hepburn and the 80s when I see pointy toed flats. And

What can I say about this elegant and sophisticated Napa Valley vineyard wedding, except that it was simply divine. New York couple Alyssa and Brett hosted a multi-day destination wedding at The Vintage Estate for their closest family and friends that was the perfect mix of elegance, relaxation and casual fun! When you imagined your wedding day, what was most important to you? When Brett and I got engaged, we werent even sure we wanted to have a wedding. But there is something incredibly powerful about having the most important people in your lives all in one place at one time, and thats what made us decide to go for it.
