Forget Kate and Will for a moment – another Prince is getting married, and it looks as though he plans on doing it in quite the gorgeous locale.
According to People.com, Prince Albert of Monaco has announced that he will exchange wedding vows with his fiancée, Charlene Wittstock, at an al fresco affair.
“[The] religious ceremony will be held at 5 p.m. in the courtyard where we have the long staircase,” a palace spokesperson told the news provider. “It will be an open-air event.”
It looks as though Albert will be going against the grain of tradition and allow palace gates to remain open during the romantic soiree. Giant television monitors will also be set up in order to allow 4,000 commoners to view the event.
Prince Albert, 52, been dating Wittstock, 32, an Olympic swimmer from South Africa, for a few years. The pair announced their engagement this past summer.
It’s likely that residents of the country are waiting with bated breath for the nuptials to take place – even though Albert has two children from previous relationships, this will be his first time exchanging wedding vows.
